I wore these on a vacation where I did not anticipate much walking; however, my boyfriend had other plans. These sandals made it through sandy beaches, wet pebble walking paths with steep inclines (in the rain), and extremely jagged and uneven stone stairs. Had I known about the walking conditions ahead of time, I would have worn sneakers; however, I was absolutely amazed by these sandals. The soles provided firm grips so I did not slip or stumble and the top part kept the sandal firmly secure (not once did I step out of the shoe as sometimes happens with backless sandals). Good support, no pain, no blisters. The sandals easily cleaned up and still looked good for dressier evenings. I do not normally review products, but these sandals far exceeded any expectations.
