Really comfortable the first time you put them on. I'm so glad they come in a "wide" width.

Conswould like a cream color
This is a nice walking shoe in the shimmery bronze color.I've been enjoying the black version but this is comfortable and fun in the Arizona sun?

Attractive casual shoe

I wanted a casual shoe to wear with my lighter color jeans and khakis. These are just right. Just be aware that these shoes do not have heavy cushioning like athletic shoes (they're not for running). However, for everyday normal wear, they are fine. I have a narrow foot width and Naturalizer is one of the few brands that fit me well.

I have been searching for shoes that would look nicer than tennis shoes while walking in cities on vacation. These shoes in the bronze color are neutral and can be paired with all outfits. I like that they tie and have the Naturalizer Comfort N innersoles. That said, the style is more of a lightweight, casual shoe when it comes to serious walking. I got my shoes too late to wear in Asia but I know there would not have been enough cushioning and support to wear while walking on pavement and bricks for 7 hours a day. I'm still waiting for some company to make stylish shoes for that purpose in my size. I would wear the Defoe shoes for a couple of hours of mall shopping or strolling around a city for a couple of hours. That would be my limit. For younger ladies, the Defoe might have enough support and cushioning, but I need more. Worth mentioning, is that the toe box is narrow but will stretch out as you wear them. The shoes are true to size but I decided to buy 1/2 size larger (I bought a 4.5M) to accommodate an orthotic or innersole for added cushioning. The laces, as other reviewers mentioned, are extremely short and I can barely manage to make a bow. I would like to double tie them, but can barely get one bow made. In summary: For more leisurely walking or shorter distances, these are a great shoe. I think they will breathe well and they are stylish.
