First negative experience with Naturalizer shoes

I have somewhat wide feet, close enough to average that I can often wear regular width shoes, but wide enough that when I have a choice I prefer to buy wide shoes. Naturalizer is one of the few brands I trust for a consistent fit. I ordered these boots in my usual size, and because my calf measurement was pretty much exactly the same as the regular shaft boots, I went with the wide shaft ones to be safe. When they arrived, I could barely zip them up over fairly thin socks and skinny jeans. I would have tried sizing up, but I didn't like the texture of the leather (thin and pebbly) enough to try again. The soles looked like the soles of my other Naturalizer shoes, which means they're probably comfortable with the right fit. My advice: try these on in person if you can and size up by at least half a size. I ended up finding higher quality boots on sale for slightly less than these elsewhere.

Proscomfortable
Consshaft too small
Beautifully made leather,, but the shaft width did not fit my calf. Too bad this is an excellent shoe.

Proseasy to put on, stylish, comfortable
I have been looking for a nice brown boot to fit my calf. I wear a 7 1/2 but have wider calves. This fit nice with leggings & jeans.

Proscomfortable, stylish
Constoe is just a little to long for actual size.
I'm in LOVE....these are by far the best pair of boots I've owned in years. After wearing them all day you can easily keep going through the evening hours they are so comfortable. I only wish they came in more than three colors. Must have for fall.
