Great wide shaft for slightly wide calves

I checked the measurements for both the regular and the wide shaft on these boots for a size 6.5. I fell pretty much right in between. Based on the measurements, the wide shaft would be about 1.25" larger than my calves and I was worried it would gap funny at the top. But it fit just nice - the gap was there but it was pretty much spread out enough around the calf that it was not noticeable. I also think it helps that it's not knee high since my knees are smaller in circumference than my calves and usually knee high boots gap stupidly. The length of the boot is perfect for petite people or people with short legs. I'm only 5' and it hit me ~4" below my knee (back is lower than front). I bought half size larger than normal but I usually do for boots anyway. I recommend half size up for these as they are slightly narrow, or buy the wide version (they ran out of my size in wide, otherwise I would have tried it). Overall, very satisfied. I hope these last.

Proseasy to put on, comfortable, stylish
Great boots! Alittle tight with socks, but not all of the time. Had to get the wide shaft, but usually don't wear that in other boots.

Prosgood traction, easy to put on, stylish
Consa bit narrow
these boots are great! they have a ton of space in the calf area, which made for a great option with my 15.5 inch calfs. I could fit skinny jeans and leggings down in there with no problem. They were a little narrow so i used my shoe stretcher for the problem and it was resolved in a few hours. The leather is so soft, so there was no problem making the boot a little wider to accomodate for my not-so-narrow foot. I want to get the brown ones soon !
